Food Week: Feed Your Children First, Though

Market update for September 8th GMT/UDT

by Nanakins

If there's anything to be taken away from this week - it's how not to name a national holiday. We're facing some of the highest food prices the Tiny Kingdom has ever seen, back to back. The smart money says there is no relief for days in the price of food. Please! Just be sure to feed your family first then stock your stores with whatever is left over that you can afford.

Today's food price sets a new Market Record for the highest price ever recorded: 1,650/thousand. With no reports of drought, flooding, or crop failures, experts at market shake their head with a knowing look, and change the subject.

I won't be buying any more food until it drops below 1,200 for production. I'm putting my food-franchised stores on hiatus, and using the food in storage for the family until this crisis is over.

Woven fur reached a tie for the Market High today, a return to the 9,100 price per thousand of 2 weeks ago. The entire market seems to be responding to the situation; prices in every commodity are high (and higher) except for Wood, which is a great buy at an extremely low price.

With this many Record and High prices, be careful out there - check today's Red Ink List (below) before buying to stock up your shops. There are new shops on the list today.

Here's how the prices chalk up until the stroke of midnight GMT/UDT:
